Trip To The Vet

Today, I took

Alexandria Alex

and Bob

to the Vet. Alexandria is being spayed and de-clawed (front only), and Bob is only being de-clawed (front only). I know many people have differing opinions on the big "de-claw" debate but, since my cats do not go outside, only have the front claws removed, and are very well cared for, it is a decision that is necessary for me. The shredding of furniture and furnishings -vs- the de-claw process (which has not been a problem for any of my other five previous cats that have been de-clawed) wasn't a difficult decision to make, ... considering the costs of replacement and damages that claws have, and will continue to, cause if this procedure isn't done.

The only thing is, ... they both have to stay for two nights at the Vet's office so they can be monitored because of the de-claw surgeries. I can't pick them up until Saturday morning. Alexandria is such a bundle of energy that her presence is definitely missed already. Granted, Bob is more of a "lump-o-cat," but he is definitely going to be missed, too. Of course the other four are still here, along with the three dogs but, ... Alexandria and Bob are conspicuously absent!
